Sick Sucks

I have been sick forever. At least I feel like it. And no, that's not an April Fool's Joke. Heck, it's not even funny. I feel like SHIT!

It started as a whine...ehhh i have a scratchy throat. Then the BOMB hit and it's in bed for me for four days straight. I thougt I was feeling better yesterday. And WHAMMO! Back in bed today. I've missed ALL of my tv shows (even had to hear about Sanjaya's mohawk second hand)...two evenings out...and my friend Liz's baby shower today :-( This isn't fair!

I even went to the doctor... which is more than I can say for my hard-headed, sniffling, meany meatball head husband. Still... nothing you can do but suck down some cough meds and sleep it off.

Hello... light at the end of the tunnel? Where are you?

No cheer here,
S.

These boots are made for walkin'!

Okay...well, not boots... but sneakers!

And that's just what I'll do!

Last year Jocelyn and I participated in the Walk-a-Thon to support the March of Dimes -- and we had a great time and raised money for a great cause -- helping premature babies.

If you'd like to donate towards this year's walk... click here: http://www.walkamerica.org/Staycbe

Winter's finally here!

Thought you could all use something warm and fuzzy on this blustery cold day. It seems like 5 days before the official start of Spring -- and winter has finally arrived! Mother nature is a royal beyatch, huh?

Spring Fever anyone?

If this warm winter in New England is indeed a direct effect of global warming, then I'm looking for a bumper sticker that says, "Global warming rules!"

Okay, I'm kidding. At least partly. But I am thrilled to death that, according to the calendar, winter is almost over - and yet, it barely ever started!

I'm already starting to plan out my (okay, Dave's) spring/summer outdoor projects in
anxious anticipation of the sweltering summer perspiration!

My major dilemma right now is which "welcome" sign to put on my door. After Valentine's Day, I usually put my winter welcome sign back up - but it was 55 degrees out today and I just couldn't do it. But I fear if I welcome spring a bit early, I may jinx us into another nor'easter.

Here's hoping mother nature continues to go easy on us for the rest of the season.

Cheers, S.
