Thank you again Uncle Hy

What a spectacular day - the weather was THE BEST EVER!
Thanks, Uncle Hy.

Here are some photos (only a couple hundred) from the stellar day.

You gotta have faith...

Here's poem number two of many to come - begging and pleading for nice weather on 8/23.

Uhm hello Uncle Hy - this summer is frightful -
the weather I tell you, is far from delightful!
It's raining, it's pouring, and we're stuck in the house
The sunshine this summer is as quiet as a mouse!
So please, Uncle Hy - I know you work wonders
Please tell the weathermen they're all full of blunders
And let August 23 be the best weather day of the year
And as always with balloons we'll salute you and cheer!
Cuz 90 or so people would get stuck sopping wet
And you'd have to deal with my mommy, don't forget!
You haven't let me down, and I know you'll come through
Only one person can do it, and that would be YOU!

Cheers, S.

Hey there... remember me?

Is there anyone out there? Raise your hand!
Okay good. Hi there.
So here we are in August - the summer flew by. I feel somewhat jipped because it's been raining pretty much all summer. What's up with that mother nature? Sheesh.
So here's a bit of trivia for you all... what is Stacey's most favorite month of the year?
May? Close! June? Not quite. July? You're getting warmer. AUGUST? You got it.
And with the dog days of summer comes my favorite day of the year -- Jocelyn's birthday party! Yippee.
So with the birthday party planning comes the birthday party stress - which for me started the day after her 4th birthday. How the hell do I top that?
The weather was great - hot as hell - and our friends and family all joined us for an amazing event.
This year is shaping up to be another stellar celebration - I just need everyone's help and hope that the weather cuts us some slack and showers us with sunshine - and NOT RAIN! Everyone... say it with me... you should know the words by now... COME ON UNCLE HY!

Here's a little ditty we wrote up and sent up to heaven for him to read. I know he's listening.

Hey Uncle Hy - it's August you know --
Which means I'll be asking for sunshine just so!
August 23 is the date - at 2 pm sharp
Please let it be nice and don't make me harp!
Dad says bad words and mom then goes pacing
I tell you this weather has got us all spacing!
But if you ask me, I know, I'm calm as could be
There's no way Uncle Hy would ever defy ME!
I'm Jocelyn Fonseca - who is about to turn FIVE
And at my party I'd love to swim and dive!
So send the sunshine my way - enough with this rain
I tell you 80 or more people will consider it a pain!
So I'll ask you not once, maybe twice or more
Please send us sunshine, and don't let it pour!

Cheers, S.
